Hyperphrase Technologies files patent suit vs. Google
Saturday, April 15, 2006, 03:35 PM - Internet
Madison-based company Hyperphrase Technologies, Inc. filed a suit against Google last Wednesday, claiming that the Internet search engine giant Google has infringed on four of its patents in some of Google's Toolbar features.

Hyperphrase Technologies, Inc.'s patents on data storage and retrieval are allegedly infringed by the AutoLink and AdSense features in Google's toolbar.

Hyperphrase made news in 2000 when it sued Microsoft for patent infringement in the federal court, seeking in excess of $2 billion in damages. The suit was dismissed in 2003.
